www.thedogtreatjar.com

Hey peoples... anybody still read this?

So yes, I am still in Kentucky.  I am in the midst of an MBA program.  I have a dog Billie, pictured.  AND>>>>I am opening an internet store.  That's right, straight from my home.  It is to sell gourmet dog treats and other top shelf products for your top shelf pooch.

We are still in the midst of building the site, you can see the store in progress at www.thedogtreatjar.com  I am looking at launching the store Saturday or Sunday.  The official launch date is Sunday the 15th.

I'm really loving the concepts of small business, and have a few friends here in lexington that are cultivating their own.  So, here's the leap, I am making my own.  Maybe I can make enough money to fly home to cali and see all of you for our reunion... 5 years next year?

Smiles,

ames

Okay, Now I want your money...

My fundraising page is up for my mini marathon.  I don't know how much "mini"  has to do with it.  It's a half, or 13.1 miles.  That's right, I am training in cold and wet to walk/jog 13.1 miles.  Help me raise money, it would be awesome.  And if you want a snail mail copy of my pleas for cash just send me your street address.

Here's the link:  http://pages.teamintraining.org/ky/KYDerby09/amarse

Check it for updates, I probably won't be updating anywhere else. Miss You :)

Dude Xanga is getting Confusing....

I only pop on here like once or twice a year but man alive!  It is craziness.  Am I no longer hip? Was I ever?  Too much stuff going on.  Remember the old xanga....easy, simple, not myspace-esk at all. Grrr...

Onto other things.  I wanted to give fair warning to anyone reading this that I have signed up for yet another half marathon.  This time I will be running for Team in Training which benefits children with cancer.  Lukeimia kids... by the end of this journey maybe I will be able to spell Luekimia ;)  Anyway, it is fair warning because along with completing a half marathon and the joy of being simply amazing I will very shortly begin the process of raising money to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  That's right and you my dear friends... okay, we haven't talked in years but "dear" is relative - are going to help me raise some of this dough.  I promise it is a legitimate deal, check out www.teamintraining.com for all the yummy goodness.

Soon I will have a sponsor website up where you can just click and give money...easy as pie.  If pie were $30 a slice.  Wouldn't that be great pie?   Pie that helps little children with cancer... that would be a great pie.

The race is at the end of April, and I haven't figured out the details in my head yet but, I will find an incentive for people that give money.  You know, besides helping kids with cancer.  Maybe I will sent you a dinky toy, or cute TNT bear... I don't know.  I could go for the heartfelt thank you note, but that isn't much my style.

Anyway, it's coming.  In the next couple weeks I will have all the data so you can have a legitimate tax write off and feel good inside about it.

Plus, I would like you all to consider running/walking/biking/hiking your own race with Team in Training.  It really is a fabulous organization and it provides a very intense training program so you can get to the finish line.  Oh, and it supports children with cancer...umm, yeah.

My recent post brought up an interesting point.  And since Andy hasn't e-mailed me again (that's two days, probably out with some korean massuese getting a happy ending) I will address it.  The issue is that of security.  Let me tell ya'all, for yourselves, for your daughters and all the women in your life you care about.  Security clearance is the way to go.  Seriously!  Research security clearances on the net and you will see that this is an easy way to find a mate of your dreams.  I just think it is a unique yet effective screening process.  If a guy has a certain security clearance, or any really, that means that a) not a felon, b) typically not in a ton of debt *especially true of clearance by gov't c) again, not a felon.    So, all I am saying is - let Uncle Sam do the work for you.  If your fella has clearance he is one step closer to being on the up and up.  If Andy and I break up it will become a new necessary standard for all future ventures.  lol

It's much better than out of debt or felon but you get the idea.

I realize it has been forever, but...

I am desperate for attention!  I know, really - things haven't changed.  But they have.

You see, I finally found this aMAZing boyfriend who is gone for a week in Korea.  He is in the ARMY and is training stuff there.  Anyway, I am stuck in Kentucky without the boyfriend's nightly call.  Some background for those of you not so in the loop - which would, I assume be like, all of you.

Here's the dig.  Shortly before I quit the Marriott here in Lexington I started dating one of our regular business travelers.  It is not nearly as scandalous as it sounds, promise.  He and his group would come in once a month or so and as the highly well trained concierge that I was I knew them pretty well.  Andy, the now boyfriend, would hang out in my lounge much more than the other people in his group. Just sit and chat n stuff.  Anyway, long story a smidgen short - we finally went out on a date last July.  I had known Andy roughly 18 months before this all went down.  And frankly, it was a little out of nowhere.  Mostly because Andy is 41, and I had never considered dating someone that much older than me.  Ironically, the age thing isn't really an issue for us.  He still travels a ton and so we mostly stay in contact via phone and text.  Seriously people I am talking hours a day and tons of texting.  Typically Andy spends most of his time in hotel rooms and while traveling has a lot of time on his hands.  This is true as well for Korea but, due to the cost of chit chatting via cell we are just e-mailing.

So the dilemma, Andy can't e-mail.  Not like Monkey with no thumb incapable just, man not comply with compy can't e-mail.  Instead of my lavish attention of late I have had one e-mail EVERY OTHER DAY.  And let me tell you something, these are not heart racing e-mails.  These are not the published love letters of wayward souls.  These letters are like mass communication.  I mean, he could send these to his mom, or your mom for that matter.  Anybody's mom could be getting these letters - what up with that?

Kay, I just had to vent.  Normally I vent to Andy.  What did I do before him?  Oh yeah - I had a dog.  Crap, I need a dog.
